This brew is an experiment in creating a richer flavoured pale ale through the addition of different grain flavours. The wheat will also contribute to head retention and the oats to mouthfeel.
Grain Bill
- 1.5kg Pilsner
- 1.5kg 2-Row
- 0.5kg Carapils
- 0.5kg Wheat Malt
- 0.5kg Vienna
- 0.25kg Rye
- 0.25kg Oat Malt
We messed up the mash temp; ended up being 62.4 instead of 66.
Liquor to Grist: 2.5 : 1 (Approx.)
Boil
Boiled for 60 minutes, with the following fun additions:
- 60m - 21g Endeavor
- 60m - 5g Green Bullet
- 1m/end - 30g Rakau
- 1m/end - 28g Ella
- 1m/end - 27g Summer

White Labs Dry English Ale
- OG: 1.049
- FG: 1.009
- ABV: 5.25%
Dry Hopping
First round (left for 9 days):
- 7g Ella
- 14g Summer
Second round (left for 5 days):
- 10g Rakau
- 10g Ella
- 20g Summer
Bottled ~16 Litres & Primed to 2.6 Volumes CO2.
