James is a big fan of big strong beer. We decided to indulge him by brewing a nice complex imperial stout.
Grain Bill
- 35% Vienna Malt
 - 25% Pale Ale Malt
 - 10% Crystal (60L)
 - 5% Munich Malt
 - 5% Brown Malt
 - 5% Wheat Malt
 - 5% Smoked Malt (not sure what variety but fairly confident Davey @ Brewstore forgot to put it in the mix, as cannot taste any smoke in the wort!)
 - 5% Black Patent
 - 2.5% Caramalt
 - 2.5% Chocolate Malt
 
Mash Temp: 66.5 degrees C Mash Length: 60 minutes. SRM: 50.00
Boil
90 min boil adding the following:
- 60 mins - 80g Endeavour (70 IBU)
 - 15 mins - 50g Bramling Cross (13.5 IBU)
 - 15 mins - 50g Crusader (13.5 IBU)
 
Approx. 97 IBU
Post-Boil
- O.G. 1.090
 - F.G. 1.017
 - ABV: 9.7%
